Born in the North East and lived in Essex for 20 years before, finally settling to live with my partner in Horsmonden in 2018.
I was a director of a specialist contracting company before my children were born and I have recently retired from a successful and enjoyable 35 year career as a civil servant. I am fortunate to have worked in a number of departments in some challenging but rewarding roles.
I have 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren who I love to spend time with and I try to see as often as I can, which isn’t that easy as my 2 granddaughters live in Australia.
My passion is gardening, weather permitting. I love to socialise with friends, old and new, but equally happy to curl up with a good book – or jigsaw! I have been a member of the village choir for 4 years.
Retirement has provided me with new opportunities to become more involved in the community I live in, supporting local events and enjoying the beautiful countryside we live in.
